Somatic Experiencing & Somatic Bodywork

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a gentle, body-based approach to healing the effects of trauma, stress, and nervous system overwhelm. Developed by Dr. Peter A. Levine, this work supports the body in completing unresolved survival responses and returning to a more regulated, resilient state. Jessica integrates SE with bodywork and movement to create a deeply supportive experience for the whole body–mind system.

This work is helpful for those experiencing chronic pain, anxiety, hypervigilance, fatigue, injury recovery, or a general sense of disconnection from the body. It is also beneficial for anyone looking to build nervous system capacity, emotional resilience, and a deeper relationship with their embodied self

Somatic bodywork is a coherence- based, body-centered therapeutic approach which uses gentle, attuned, and co-regulating touch. Along with naturally emerging, innate movement to support the dissipation and integration of stored trauma in the body and increase nervous system regulation. This modality supports the connections between physical sensations, movement, emotions, and the nervous system. Through deep listening, relative relational safety and attunement, somatic bodywork supports trauma healing, greater nervous system regulation, and enhances overall health, vitality and well-being.

My sessions with Jessica are always incredibly helpful and meaningful. Her space and presence collectively create a very supportive sort of sanctuary that is unparalleled to anything I've ever experienced from a wellness/health care practitioner. I would highly recommend Jessica to anyone looking to explore body/SE work as a form of therapy.

Somatic work is not about pushing through discomfort or “fixing” symptoms. It’s about creating space for your system to unwind at its own pace - building safety, connection, and presence from the inside out.
